Pain as Catalyst for the Soul
Within a soulful life, all is accepted, sacred and welcomed. It is the desires of the soul that guide us through our experiences of life. Through the ease and joy, and the pain and sourness.
Here we are awakening into the realization that our struggles are the soil in which our seeds of growth may germinate
Our challenges offer their potent medicine through which one may grow and evolve out of rotten patterns, breaking free from harmful activations and instead nurturing new ways.
This is pain and challenge as initiator of expanded growth and potential.
They offer us opportunities to heal and expand our potential
There is a longing for the soul to experience its wholeness through the constriction and intensity of human provocation.
It is the destiny of the soul’s embodiment. Without these moments of constriction, of pain, discomfort, fear, opportunities for a fuller experience of our truest selves would be lost. For it is within these trenches that we find our golden hearts. If life was always rainbows and butterflies, the soul would not have the guidance into deeper self-realization. And this is why we are here after all.
It is our karmic path that guides us into all that needs to be felt, the medicine that allows one to transcend what no longer serves. The connections we have with others, the experiences that shape us, all can be seen as an offering for growth.
Allowing us an opening to realize our full authenticity. In witness to the source, the energy, the spirit that guides one towards their continuously expanding fullness, healing and medicine.
When we reframe struggles from something that happens to us into something that we choose, on a soul level, that moves through us to support our path, we step out of victimhood and instead claim it as our responsibility, to rise up to all that it offers. Offering gratitude for these challenges that provide the nutrient-rich soils from which we may tend to new ways.
These lessons go hand and hand with the acceptance of all aspects of our life. The dark and light. The beauty and ugly. The easy and challenging. Being humbled by the complexities of a soulful life.
Perhaps that is all we are searching for here, forgetting that it already rests upon the seat of our hearts.
A Soulful Life.
The sacredness of fullness.
The acceptance of all.
Where there is light there is shadow.
If you look at the back of beauty and joy
You find fear and ugliness
Both exist within each other
Offering the fullness of their medicine
When seen as a whole
Honouring the shadow opens one into the deep medicine it may offer. In contrast to the full destructive force that it may take on when it is disembodied and neglected. When it is integrated into a whole way of being, it may find its healthy and necessary expression. Like the force of anger, that when suppressed bubbles up within the dark depths of the liver until it reaches its tipping point and an explosion follows.
It is reframing our vision of medicine to include also the pain and the experience of discomfort that are catalysts for change, release, and nourishment.
Nourishing the soul moves beyond the need to fix or cure to perfection. Instead, soul work remains patiently in the present. Compassionately accepts every expression free from concepts of right and wrong. Or good and evil. It is close to the rawness of life. Fully felt. Within its joys and sourness. Honouring all the aspects of existence.
Rather than striving for an arbitrary vision of “healed” or “ascended” one is reminded that the path always continues. As one layer is peeled away, another is revealed. Rather than orienting to reach the finish line, you’re invited instead to embrace the fullness of the journey. All that it offers you. As it is right here. In the Eternal Now. Accepting where you are at now as already divine. Already enough. As you continue forward, know that in the next moment, you continue to evolve. That is sometimes full of ease, and other times hopeless and sticky. Neither is better or worst. They exist as they are within a soulful life. Pathways for the soul’s desires. Multifauctitied and complex in its expression. Shaped by both pain and pleasure. Carved out by both love and loss. Dropping this salvational fantasy brings us to greater opportunities for self-acceptance and deeper wisdom. The souls sings the songs of eternity.
