When we look at the mythology of medicine, what is it within it that comes alive to heal, to transmute, and to alchemize? What is this living intelligence within that knows what is needed and offers it?
It took me a long time to detangle the mess of indoctrinated religion from my own faith and spirituality. For me, it was a journey of unweaving and reweaving true resonance, finding my own place within meaning. Where once I knew prayer as a way of asking for help from a Christian God that controlled life, it slowly revealed itself to me as a practice of constant communion with the very life that pumps through all things, that which I know now as true god. Without realizing it, prayer was always a part of my way of being, for it is innate. A moment whispered in gratitude, a calling invoked, a protection strengthened. I now know prayer as a way of directing our consciousness, our gifts of creation, and our communication with source.
It is direct and clear communication. When we invoke prayer within our daily practices, we are weaving threads of communion and spirit in everything that we do. Life comes alive as an active participation rather than a passive experience.
When we look at healing and medicine, prayer is a deeply interwoven part of that experience. Inseparable. So much so that it is hard to tell which comes first. Prayer invokes healing, healing invokes prayer. Prayer becomes the medicine. Because prayer is this active communication with source, it touches upon threads of the unseen that may be pulled and shaped. It is that which heals. That which transforms. That which nourishes. When we pray to a bowl of food, does that food not come alive with healing energy, being granted an energetic direction. And in fact, a resonance. When we pray upon the waters we swim within, does that water not awaken spirit that holds us, cleanses us. When we pray for a safe journey, is that journey not blessed by the angels themselves. Here is where we are invoking our creative gifts, the ways we direct energy into an experienced outcome. We are invoking our relationship with those higher forces that support and guide us on our path.
Prayer is invoking resonance. Harmonious and holy. As one energy syncs with another. What we pray for comes alive with an energetic field and surrounds us.
When we pray, we are in communion with god. We are speaking with focus that which lives in us that we desire to bring out into the world. It is these words spoken that weave together the medicine we receive. It is these threads that bring forth true and whole/holy healing. Prayer is faith. Faith in source, in our needs. Faith is everything. It connects us to a higher source that assists our processes on Earth. When we are connected to source, true communion takes place. When we weave prayer into our lives, we find wholeness. We enrich the medicine that we share and receive. We bring it to life. It is no longer an inanimate thing. But becomes alive with soul.
Prayer is ancient. Moving far beyond the threads of religion as we know it. Through the ancient ones that danced and sang and celebrated life. And so it belongs to all of us. Every lineage. Every part of the world and tradition. It is the soul that longs for prayer, for it is depth. It is intertwined with the threads of the unseen. And in that, there is richness beyond compare. Our prayer is our strength and our medicine. Through it one finds the guidance that they need. It is simply asking. Vocalizing. It is simple, for source is simple. It doesn’t ask us to perform and complicate. It simply asks us to stay connected. To remain faithful. Much of what we seek we hold within our prayers.
what a beautiful read. Thank you. I too believe that prayer is infused with deep healing, gratitude, awareness and consciousness. It is a way of asking the spirit would to come alive in our daily life. Thank you for your beautiful words.
